4 Generations of Ensey Mangoes
The Ensey grove was planted over 80 years ago by Edward "Rutledge" Ensey. He moved from Eden, Florida and replaced a citrus plantation with a new mango grove. His was the first one in the area and initially his land stretched for 15 acres across the southern tip of Merritt Island. The grove originally had avocados, starfruit and pineapple, but over the years has transitioned into mostly mangoes, lychees, and a few avocados.
Ensey Tropical Fruit has 15+ special hybrids that are found only at our grove! The Royal Purple, the Sunset, the Jumbo, the Travis, and the Rutledge are just a few of the proprietary mangoes you can find here.
Proprietor John, great-grandson of Rutledge Ensey, and grove manager Angie, his mother. The Ensey family is all about mangoes!
